FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Danbury, CT (January 8, 2008) – Adam Equipment, a world-class manufacturer of mass measurement equipment, has added a 610g-capacity model to its popular TBB Triple Beam mechanical balance line. The durable TBB 610S model was designed specifically for those educators who don’t weigh heavier samples yet still want quality mechanics and reliable readings from a brand they know and trust. The TBB 610S is the third model in the company’s popular TBB Triple Beam line.“Teachers shouldn’t have to choose between low prices and dependable quality when purchasing lab equipment,” said Alan Storey, Managing Director of Adam Equipment. “For the first time, educators can get a sturdy and accurate triple beam balance for well under $100 from a manufacturer whose warranty and service they have confidence in. The practical TBB 610S will demonstrate mass measurement concepts for students and also reliably perform everyday weighing functions for many years within the classroom.”

Adam’s new TBB 610S Triple Beam, like all models in the TBB line, offers an assortment of valuable classroom features not available with any other triple beam. First, in response to teachers’ overwhelming concerns about stolen triple beams, Adam built a security slot into the TBB’s housing so that educators could easily keep their balances safe from theft. The security slot is compatible with any universal Kensington™ lock and cable. (Cable and lock sold separately.)

Secondly, Adam also added a weigh-below hook, protractor, ruler, and conversion chart right onto the housing of all TBB Triple Beams, transforming these balances into a complete measurement tool for schools. Finally, the TBB line has a wider overall body than other triple beams, making it the sturdiest option for students. The company has secured a patent for the innovative design of its TBB Triple Beam.

The durable TBB 610S offers a 610g capacity with 0.1g readability and it is easy to keep clean with metal housing and a stainless steel pan. Quality center-point readings are ensured with magnetic dampening, positive poise positioning, well-defined notches, and three graduated-tier beams. A counterbalance knob provides speedy zeroing.

Unique tripod legs may be purchased separately to lift up the balance for optimal visibility during below balance activities such as density experiments. The legs are both more stable and more convenient to use than the rod and clamp kits that other manufacturers offer. A hard carry case with lock may also be purchased for optimal storage and transporting both within a school and in the field.

The TBB 610S has a suggested list price of $85. Accessory pricing: lock & cable for $28, tripod legs for $18, and hard carry case for $65. The TBB line is available from many science education dealers. It is backed by a three-year Adam Assurance Warranty with responsive and reliable service before, during, and after the sale.
